Barley Seed - Oat Grass (5 oz.)

Oat grass adds valuable nutrients and fiber which helps rid cats of hairballs. Barley is
the easiest grass for your cat to digest and the variety that is the most palatable. It's an
excellent source of protein, essential amino acids and chlorophyll, which is believed to
help with cell regeneration. It also contains vitamins C and E as well as beta-carotene and
several B vitamins, folic acid, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and many other trace
minerals.
Ordinary lawn grass has coarse, sharp-edged blades that aren't easy to digest which is why
cats (and dogs) will often throw it up later. Our oat grass sprouts tender shoots and is
easy to grow. Moisten potting soil and generously sprinkle seeds over the top. Moisten seeds,
cover loosely with plastic wrap and keep in a shady place until sprouts appear. Once sprouts
appear, continue to water and place in a sunny window sill to grow.
If seeds are allowed to
dry out, they will not germinate and you'll need to start all over again!
